In the last 12 months, I've traveled to the three largest US cities: Chicago, Los Angeles, and, finally, New York City. There's something uniquely enchanting about New York. It pulsates with an unmatched energy. I was fortunate to stay with my dear friend, Rafael (pictured in the gallery below many times). It is refreshing to see the city through the lens of someone who lives and works there. This colossal metropolis is sprinkled with smaller communities that make it feel like home.
Over the past six days, I covered a lot of ground. Here are a few of my favorite photographs from the trip, including:
Peter and Kassandra celebrated their engagement at a vineyard in Vineland, Ontario. The evening was a blend of Serbian and Polish music, food, and traditions. A live band, homemade desserts, and family from across the U.S. and Canada made for an unforgettable celebration, despite some unexpected chilly weather. The turning leaves and delicious wine made up for it, though!
Congratulations, Peter and Kass! I've known Leah since she was just a baby. Her sister and I met in daycare and were best friends growing up, and I was thrilled when she asked me to take her senior photos. We met up at Fort Wayne's Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory and had so much fun utilizing all of the gorgeous plants for this shoot.
Good luck with your senior year, Leah! |
